Okay, having troubles with my dipped beam... I've taken my bulbs out and gottten a multimeter...

Here is the response I got from it, same for both bulbs.

Both gone, or am I being a fool? I have no clue here, just making it up as I go along.

Does happen sometimes. Does the coil filament at the end of the bulb look damaged? Have you got voltage from the headlamp connections to the bulb? If you rattle the bulb about can you hear anything? Most likely its just the bulbs.

One bulb i can phsyically see the break in one of the two filaments, and the other I can hear a rattle.

Fucking halfords with a million bulbs in and not one 60/35.

Are they correct rating? May sound a bit basic but it does happen.

your bulbs seem to be H4 60/55W (60/35 do not exist to my acknowledge) , try halogen bulbs clear here

The picture was just a ranom picture I found on google... the bulbs I have say "12V60/35W Japan" on them.

Surely putting 60/55w bulbs in will blow something?

Import bike, import bulbs, I guess. They might not exist over here. If the 60/55w ones fit, I'd use them. Otherwise you'll have to order a proper one from the net here or here.

Might be worth using your multimeter to check the charge output from the bike, make sure the regulator isn't faulty. Run the bike and rev it, if the voltage across the battery stays at 13 - 14 volts all is well, if it rises to say 16 volts when revved then you need to replace the reg / rec unit too. Multiple blown bulbs is often a sign of a faulty reg / rec.
