One of my friends was nicknamed 'pigeon' after he jumped in the cinema when the pigeons reflections were shown in the glass of Final Destination 2.

Another friend was nicknamed 'Grainy' because of the colour of the clothes he used to wear. They were the colour of grain or seed.

Then whenever we used to ask our group where to go for lunch, one guy always used to say "Arrgh, I want doner meat and chips", so we renamed him 'doner'.

One of my old schoolfriends was nicknamed Bull at school, mainly because of his violent (and very effective) charging tactics in Rugby matches.

Another friend named Bubble, because of his shape... and his younger brother Gus for reasons unknown.

...and three of the guys I went drinking with in my teens and 20's were Funky, Hippy and Veggie - and to this day I can't remember their real names

My sister was at uni doing drama (and must be one of about 3 people ever to get a job out of it) and one guy called nick (who is the sort of person you'd kill if you had to spend over 3 minutes with) while siting quietly in a loud drama studenty way said
"We should all have nicknames!" my sister said "yes, your nickname is -nob head-" and that was it, still known as nobhead

Only nickname i had was "goatboy" (sometimes preceeded with hairy little) and mr.ewok, not sure about why either occoured..
