As some of you are aware I am dating a copper. (female Rolling Eyes )
We are what the title says to be honest.
1) I am English
2) She is Greek (white) but half British from the Mother,
3) I love drinking, mainly when I've finished a busy cooking shift
4) She drinks little and oftern
5) Im the one that is normally plastered
6) I gamble my money
7) she saves
8) I am argumentive
9) she rather go to bed
10) I like a 'good' seeing too Wink
11) she likes to be kissed more then sex.

We have been having a 'few' probs in the past..............
Me and my drink ect. (she dose not understand to be honest)

We have been together for 3 years. I do love her, I really do, but little things make me wanna end it. We have so much in common, yet so much that differs from each other.
I, to be honest dont know what to do, Josh (my 2 n half y/o) knows Kat to a 'T' and will always know her.
Yet, if i bring someone else into his life, it will confuse him to hell.

TBH i am stuck, I dunno what to do.
I am on the way to be a Firefighter, She is a copper.................... and its known that 'we' dont get along........

I dunno what to do............ do I keep going for the sake of Josh, as he knows Kat............

Or do I just forget her and carry on with MY career and hope he gets on with it???????/

talking as a married man here, you firstly need to work out in your mind if the relationship is worth fighting for. If not, get the hell out now and stop wasting everyone's time.

If you do, then the key is to be able to sit down and talk with her how you feel, but more importantly allow her to discuss how she feels to. From this you can then try and agree on doing things that dont irritate each other. What you've mentioned to be honest, really are little petty things. If drink ruined my relationship, as a man, everyone would think I was an alchoholic.

Above all, talk to each other. No not talk, but talk. Tell each other what pisses you both off, what you enjoy, etc. Really get to know each other so that you're not constantly at each others throats.

Now finally, lets see a happy pic of you both? Razz

Aint that the truth!

Lets hope she doesnt read it

As for petty stuff, it only becomes a problem when it goes on and on. So to sort it out you need to tell her its a problem. Just talk to her!

And not the "did you see that on tv" type talk either..

Make the decision based on your true gut feeling, it sounds like in your heart of hearts you'd like it to end, but using your child as the get out clause for something that will be tough to end.

Be strong, do what is right, and if it ends fairly amiccable then let your boy see her for a while...if not he is young enough to bounce back quite easily.

Im in a similar position, My girlfriend and i are younger than you i would imagine.

She Believes in God, I dont
I like the odd spliff, she doesent
we like different music
We have very different friends

Sometimes i wonder what the fuck i am doing with her, it would be so much easier with someone that shares my interests and beliefs... But then i love her, when i look into her eyes that (usually) goes out the window...

Can you reach a compromise that works for you both (we havent quite yet...)

you'd be surprised , all in all I've probably in the last 3 months met about 40 BCFers , having before been part of other groups.

Heh if I'm ever on the south coast for more than a short break I'd probably issue a call to ride , I always do that.

Has she ever asked you to change your ways, and if so, in what way?

Me and my Mrs are different, in some ways too. Everyone has their differences. You either accept it (if you can) or get out, it just depends what they are!?

Thumbs Up

Dump er
She sounds a bit boring

Staying with someone for a kids' security is daft
Kids adapt REALLY quickly, trust me
When my kids dad and I split up my daughter completely forgot him, (he is a waste o space, doesn't acknowledge her at all)
She was 5 at the time
The younger the kid, the lesser the effect

From reading your post you need more:
someone who will roger you senseless
someone who will go out for a drink and a good time with you
someone to have a good row with (then make up sex)
someone to have a bit of a flutter on the gee gees with

I would concentrate on your career and kid, and see if 'Mrs' Wink Right turns up

Hello Louise

Some people are ignorant about things they have no idea Rolling Eyes you need to go some where to talk like a restaurant and don't hit the sauce just talk to each other about what you want out of the relationship and decide from there. But the main thing is to talk to each other and always say you love her. Hope that helps

Both you and your partner fall in a stereotype, you are lesbians working in what are considered 'male' roles.

The point of stating that is that I am sure that the above does not 'sum you up'; you're both undoubtably much, much more than that. So why are you only looking at the surface of your relationship?

After three years you no doubt know if these 'niggles' are something you accept as part of loving someone (and, as big chris said: they can be ironed out with communication) or they're symptoms of a relationship that has run it's course.

No matter how much your son loves Kat, he'd rather see his mum happy. As long as his life is kept as stable as possible and he is given consistent love and care from yourself, then he'll be happy.

Can't say I agree with you.

Anyone who hasn't got a good chance of successfully bringing up their children in a normal nuclear family with good positive male and female role models has no business having children at all.

There is enough dysfunction in society and the world in general without breeding more.

Save lesbianism for where it's meant, in the bedroom as an extra to keep your man happy.

what the fuck are you on about?? You don't need to live in a nuclear family to raise a child, in fact in my experience this causes more problems than good.

do the world a favor and castrate yourself then

its not just an extra to keep a man happy, its how people are, some people choose to date members of the other sex, some choose those of the same sex, in the end it makes no difference at all, so, please stop spouting bullcrap.

its people like you that are causing this world to fall apart and implode on itself..
