Hi ive just built a new pc and when i boot up to windows i get through the windows logo bit then just as it gets to desktop my monitor dislplay goes of and says "attension input not supported"

not sure if it could be the onboard gfx?my monitor is a 15" tft monitor

onboard gfx is geforce 6100.board is nforce 400


realy need help with this.

ps the monitor comes back on after it swicthes of as long as i unplug the cable from the back of the tower and plug it back in.

attach an old monitor and lower the refresh rate or screen resolution.

They may be outside the limit of that particular TFT.

All it sounds like is that the PC is trying to output a resolution/refresh rate that isn't supported by the monitor.

Boot the PC up into safe mode and set the resolution to it's lowest settings (800x600 @ 60hz), it should work then. Once that's done change the resolution to 1024x768 (and possibly 75hz).

Always test before commiting to the change as Windows gives you 15 seconds to click on the confirm button before it drops back to a working resolution.

that might be right but i was using it at the same res on my old duron 1800 and worked fine.


could it be that it cant handle my new pc or somthing like that


im using onbard gfx geforce 6100 on a gigabyte nforce mobo

like the guys said 60mhz-75mhz for tft's, my old crt monitor does 85mhz and better and when i stuck my tft on same error.
Max my TfT does is 75mhz

On windows as you're booting up, press f8 where directed (just as windows starts). Then you can choose 'vga' mode where you can change your resolution and refresh rate if that's your problem.
