Hiya all,

Well my NSR125 saga continues... barrel off and whilst piston has siezed, the barrel is clean so gonna rebuild...

So more guidance needed... after a bit of a fight the flywheel nut is off but need a puller to remove the flywheel.... unlike other bikes where the puller would screw into the flywheel on a left handed thread the NSR125R1 has an external right hand thread which tell me the puller screws over the top...! so the one in my tool box isn't much good... so

..please can anyone advise where i can acquire such a tool...without going to honda and paying mega bucks... thx

You can sometimes get them with a 3-leg puller held on to the outside of the flywheel using a big jubilee clip. Just be carefull not to crack the flywheel using excessive force though.

Excellent guide but lack tools to make the diy part. Using two flat spanners and a hammer managed to remove the flywheel no problem.

So my next question - the starter ring became detatched from the flywheel at some point and the loose bolts and starter ring has ground away at the casing around the main bearing. I have cleaned all the swarf from inside but could any of the debris gotten into the inside of the crank case?... Can i simply replace the flywheel/starter ring and run the engine? any thoughts?

Cheers
