Right.... so where are we on the saga of an unknown rebuild...

Well have acquired a replacement flywheel and starter ring, have purchased a new piston kit and have spent the weekend cleaning the crank case ready to begin a rebuild...

So, the question that I need to answer before i start is....

The rings supplied with the new piston are identical... I have compared them with the old piston and rings and they is no difference.

The bike is a 2003 NSR125R1.... am i missing something?

How to I tell the rings apart...

Guidance appreciated...

thx

I have the exact same bike as you, and I'm sat here looking at my old piston and the rings are identical on it I can't see a difference, as far as I remember they are the same top and bottom, but, I'm not completely sure on this,
