The one happened just out side my village, road was closed off for ages.
Nobody knows what happened at the mo' so its too early to say if its rider error..... BUT when the van driver does a runner, what does that tell you. {edit: See other news about for more details}
Yes riding in winter is more dangerous, but there are plenty of muppets on the road who can screw you up aswell in any weather.
