is it difficult to change the chain and sprockets by urself or is it best to go to the bike shop and get it done, i think i can do it myself and dont want to spend 30 odd quid on labour. i did change them ok with my old 50.

Yeah man, do it. Its really not that hard, although a paddock stand(and the right size chain) does make it a lot easier.

put bricks under each side of the swing arm (and a nice rag) untill its off the ground then slip the wheel out.

Changing it is the easy bit just make sure u get the tension right (should be about 50mm at the slacist point top to bottom) if i'm not right Keith will correct me dont worry,
Then u have just got 2 get the wheel alignment. BOOM
off u go

Hope this helps

Hi

I would [b[not[/b[ use bricks to hold the bike up. Bricks are bad at taking a concentrated load and will quite possibly suddenly collapse. Very dangerous working on a car, but could lead to damage working on the bike. Use a pair of cheap car axle stands. 50mm is a vit much for the chain looseness. Should be 25mm~35mm (ish) at the tightest point. If you turn the chain adjusters back in each the same number of turns then the back wheel will be no more out of line than it was before

All the best

Keith
