Whats the lung thing just under the swing arm for? Its a bolt hole about 12mm. If perfect for me mounting my digital speedo sensor to, but what was it originally for????

I'll look see if I can get a picture here in a moment...

btw the same bolt hole on the right hand side is on the standard zxr750 swing arm too.

My guess would be that the swing arm is a parts-bin selection, and it also fits a bike with a rear drum brake. The lug is then for the drum brake reaction arm?

Think pics are required, and a 12mm bolt is pretty big.

If it is just under the swinging arm but not part of it then maybe an exhaust mounting point.

All the best

I dunno then. Just had a look at my zxr and the only lug under the swingarm is for the bobbins.

Post a pic if you can.

Picture added (above). Just to say I think the zxr has the standard swing arm. Both bikes are late 80s.

Its a paddock stand bobbin mount. Chances are the other side was damaged and cut off.
