Its one of those old 'is it worth the risk of getting it wrong things' scratches probably mean it hit the floor at some point, even if it aint hard you never know what damage is internal etc.
If in doubt the head is the 2nd most important bit to look after (the first of course is..... the bike ) so i'd say go for it an get a new one. Maybe keep that one for a dodgy spare for use in a fix? ____________________ Previous - Gilera DNA50 / XVS125 Dragstar/Honda CBR 600F/GSF 650 Bandit

Yeah but your face is intact for that open coffin...
Its not just the protection factor really, although i'm pretty sure a get what you pay for does apply to a degree.
You also pay for weight (or lack of), comfort, noise reduction, steaming up/vents, markup on the name. You will notice it if you ever try on a cheapo helmet then find the most expensive helmet in the shop just for a laugh. Difference is often quite astounding.
So even if you neck snaps, it'll have been nice an quiet and comfy beforehand. ____________________ Previous - Gilera DNA50 / XVS125 Dragstar/Honda CBR 600F/GSF 650 Bandit

there's more than enough elasticity in a wire fence that your helmet probably hasn't suffered any shock loadings that would compress the internal foam. If you can be 100% sure it didn't hit anything solid, then I'd be inclined to keep using it, as long as the scratches are purely cosmetic, and there's no damage to the shell.

Best just to get a new lid dude, the polystyrene is designed to deform only once so if you fall and twat your head again it won't absorb as much energy from the impact and you could be a lot worse off.
It is a pain in the arse though, I bought a new Caberg lid in September and crashed last Tuesday, £100 well spent ____________________ Past: Aprilia SR 50, Aprilia RS 125
