tl1000r thoughts?

what is every ones opinion on the tlr?? my dad reckons its ok but would rather a old urban tiger blade ???

surely he is mad the tlr sounds amazing with the quills and the powercomand(or what ever the thing is called that takes the rev limiter away)

what peoples views on a tlr vs a naked fireblade?

is the TLR the faired version? stunning bike. But I heard they where pretty mad, up there with the ZX10R and all that, never ridden one though.

yeah why chose a blade over a tlr ???

as in why buy a 13 year old bike over a bike thats all of 7-8 years old with 4000 miles on the clock and not a scratch

the good old window maker. TL1000r were the dog's you had to uprate the front damper or sumrt like that coz they had a habit of throwing people off em but went like s**t off a shovel for a twin. looks very similar to a sv i think

A couple of friends of mine have TL1000S's and they seem to like them a lot. Loud as anything and they do turn a few heads.

I've only ridden the TL1000S around a roundabout and it was so so. Nothing amazing but nothing bad. But then again I'm not a big fan of v-twins.

I do think the TL1000S with the half fairing looks a lot nicer then the 'R' version. Don't know why but to me it has a bit more character to it.

Personally I would go for the Blade rather then the TL.

A beautiful looking thing, unfortunately about as long as Hertfordshire. There was a bloke used to race one in the EMRA series....... we used to call him 'the mobile roadblock'. My mate still has one, and he still loves it, largely cos he's a tart and it is a very pretty bike, but even my Blackbird corners better........ with luggage...... and the Mrs on the back..... when I'm tired......and drunk.......
