Ive been getting quotes from 380 pounds up to 450 from dfds to catch a ferry from newcastle to bergen. Yet the dfds website says from 120 pounds... Laughing Does anyone know anywhere cheaper at all?

There is another alternative. I'm sure there will be a difference in the price. Thumbs Up

Fjordline used to go from newcastle but the route on their website shows otherwise. Crying or Very sad

EDIT: Just had a quote for 1100 pounds lmao. Shocked It seems its cheaper to go with a passenger, the basic cabins wont allow just 1 person to occupy them. Evil or Very Mad Anyone fancy a small trip to bergen in july? Laughing

Dude when you said you were going on a bit of a tour to norway and you wanted a tent that would fit on the back of your bike because you were going to be camping...

I didnt expect you to get a ferry there :S

Well, unlike most other people i cannot take 10 days off at a time. I looked at riding it and all its gonna do is kill whats left in my tyres and chain and add alot more time. According to mapsource it adds over 1200 miles to my journery.

It makes good sense to get a ferry to Norway.

This isn't much help but I got some Norway ferry quotes last year that were much lower than what you're getting, shame I can't remember the company.

Have you tried https://www.ferrysavers.com/?

Yeah, I have to say I'd take the direct ferry if I wanted to do a tour of Norway. Get the boat to Bergen and you're straight into the good stuff - Fantastic roads and scenery. Ride overland there and you're talking a few thousand miles of motorways.

When you factor in accomodation and petrol, the price is not really that expensive. I use https://aferry.to They always seem to be a reasonable price, but there usually is not much in it regardless of ferry agent.
