Hi, there.
I need your help. I own Honda NX650 Domiantor at this time, but need a bike for two persons, for travelling.
What do you think, is F650GS (not Dakar) enought for me and my wife?
Thanks for every help |

I'd say the 650 would cope with 2 up riding providing you arent that heavy and not in a hurry. I think they only produce 50hp in total.
My dl650 produces 70bhp ish apparently and i'd say its only just enough when we go away on the bike for a day or two and once kitted up i'd say together we weighed about 22 stone. ____________________ Cbr1100xx blackbird gone, mk4 golf gt tdi chav now

A member here took himself and his missus to Austria last year on his F650GS.
The covered a fair few miles if I recall. He didn't seem to have any complaints.
As has been said, if you're not doing many fast roads, it should be fine.
I've been on the back and didnt find it slow at all. ____________________ Like a Yorkie - I'm not for the girls |

Any 500cc+ will be fine for touring. The only differences between bikes for touring are: comfort and reliability. Comfort wise a small 400cc will not be pleasant for long periods and may not have the power to comfortably reach your desired speed.
I have happily (if not begrudgingly) toured on a bandit 600. I'm sure your bike will have more than enough power to enjoy the roads. It will also be reliable enough to not have to worry about that side of things. I would say an excellent choice (the 1200 has a less desirable weight when loaded with luggage and 2 up).
Enjoy yourselves. ____________________ Travelling around the world...a bit at a time. Where am I now? / Visit my BLOG
