ANOTHER Ebay thread!

As a buyer I always expect the seller to leave feedback first after receiving my money, then I leave feedback once I have received the item and it's in the expected condition.
As a seller, I would do exactly as above, leave feedback first once money has been received etc.

Would you all do this the same way around?

I only ask as I've just won a selection of printer cartridges and payment in Paypal is still pending, yet the seller has already sent me a mail requesting I leave them feedback! I most certainly won't until I receive the items and think they're a bit dim for asking!

I find sellers won't leave feedback first, I won't leave feedback as a buyer until I've received the item and used it to prove it works.
Very few will leave feedback first, If you leave Negative due to being unhappy with the item the seller has no comeback. I would of thought this way round it is a way to try and sort any problems before bad feedback is left.

Some Power sellers have auto feedback which auto returns their feedback after you've left yours.

If they want you to leave feedback on an item you've not yet received, tough.
Probably a standard e-mail sent out after purchases.

If I'm selling, I leave feedback as soon as the buyer has paid.

If I'm buying, I will leave it as soon as the item has been received.

But you are correct, very few people I buy from leave it after I've paid, they wait til I leave it first.

As 10p said, many big sellers have automatic feedback system. The email you received will be a standard one that will go out to all their buyers.

It does annoy me though that many sellers will not leave feedback after you've paid instantly. They're obviously covering themselves from getting a negative reply, this will stop alot of people from giving a negative because they will get one back in return although it was not warranted.

I alway leave feedback as soon as the item is paid for, you can respond to negative feedback and leave a message in the comment box, but I won't give feedback until I get an item that I've bought. " Momma said ebays like a box of chocolates, you never know what your gonna get" (forest gump mode off)
