I'm not really in to cleaning bikes but I can get the car up to a very shiny standard using a concoction of stuff. When cleaning the bike it's simple, generally just AG SRP and AG Gloss Protection Seal (or whatever its called) mixed 50/50. Gives a decent enough shine, then Mr Sheen over the fairings. ____________________ Northern Irish? www.nibikers.com |

Autoglym shampoo and conditioner to start with, followed by a rinse. Chain oil, WD40 and engine oil added at this stage, then autosol metal bits while it's all drying. Then fairings get Holts polish from Halfords, with an Autoglym polishing cloth.
Came up quite nice, I did that yesterday. It's a shame I don't have a cover and it rained today. |

I neither wash nor polish my bikes.
I believe simoniz wax (proper wax, in a tin) makes just about anything very shiny indeed and for a long time if you are prepared to spend a lot of effort applying it. Wax-on, wax-off, wax-on, wax-off.

lol, its not hard mate, just make sure the bodywork is really really clean, apply the polish with a lintfree cloth, wait till it dries to a white haze and then, using a fresh cloth, lightly buff it off. voila! shiny bike! ____________________ no silly comment here!! |
