PLus your going to get a warranty which could also be worth a few quid in the 'unlikely' event.
100 or 200 quid for a 125 TPFT for a 19 year old sounds like an amazingly low figure, I was 21 on a 125 and it was just under 400 notes for me.
Make sure some of your savings go into some good quality kit thats going to last too ____________________ RS125 > CBR6 > SV650S > ZX636R > GSX1300RZ Hayabusa > 06 RSVR Mille > SV1000S > Street Triple 765 RS |

Check the smallprint on your "free" insurance, you will probably find that the "free" element is TPO and if you want to upgrade to TPFT or fully comp they will charge you extra. If that's the case you need to factor that into your calculations too when working out if it's a good deal. ____________________ Sod falling in love, I wanna fall in chocolate. |

My YBR125 was bought from a Yamaha dealer at the bottom of my road for £2000 and they also sorted out my CBT and I got the free insurance deal. They even took me and my bike down to my CBT in a van and filled up the bike full with petrol. In my eyes it was worth it. The warrenty always makes you feel safe and there is the lack of MOT with a new bike. labour for service is free .
Even though its 2k which is alot of money for a 125, if you keep it in good nick you can sell it on for about 1200ish.
Oh yeah and the YBR is an ace bike. ____________________ Current: MT-10, Bandit, Grom, GPZ500

Agree with Matt above, Ok you spend the £2000 but you get the insurance, a new bike, RAC cover and you can sell it like me £1400. SO you don't in the grand scheme of things lose that much mate.
Great little bike go for it I would say!
Lots of posts on the forum re this bike so have a search and dig some up

I reckon that "free insurance" will only apply to riders aged 21 years or older. ____________________ Be careful whose advice you buy, but, be patient with those who supply it. speak to dalemac, he bought his ybr shiny and new, not sure if it came with insurance, but I'd of thought his insurance would be similar to yours..
for reference, I paid £764 tpft with three claims to my name on a 500 last year... came with full AA breakdown cover too, even the cushy 'we put you in a hotel' part.. never used it though ____________________ Insta - FemFeral |
