Every time I forward a port on my wireless router (Netgear wgu624), in order to get results using SLSK, my router seems to fuck up, as in the connection completely dies, and I have to reset the modem and router in order to regain my connection.
Just wondering if anyone can shed any light as to why? ____________________ Learning... |

Some routers simply have a hard time handling the sheer traffic involved in a fast P2P setup. My old Belkin job was fine most of the time, but fire up a torrent and it'd be frozen like a rabbit in headlights inside of 40 minutes. Had endless problems of a similar nature with the last Netgear box I tried, ended up returning it and spending a few more quid on a D-link DGL4300, had no problems at all since. It's great, no more direct cabling the download box overnight ____________________ I'm immortal. Well, so far. |
