Hey Guys!

Can you change fork oil and seals without taking the fork tubes off the bike?

I just figured it might be easier to take the lower (mine are not inverted forks) cylinders off with the fork tubes attached to the handle crown.

Any Ideas?

Cheers Smile

Oh and also... do you have to use a fork seal driver tool (as mentioned in the workshop manual) or can you use any other tool or improvise?
Cool

It's just as easy to take the whole lot apart, if you strip the front forks down, change the seals, bushes dust covers etc, and put it all back together, then pour in required amount of oil it should only take you a couple of hours max. Cool

Just make sure you put your speedo gearbox on the wheel bearing the rigth way round otherwise you'll end up with a smashed one like I did! Shocked
