Honda Cub 90.

I watch Top Gear run their tests on this little machine, including blowing it up in a block of high rise flats, throwing it off buildings and some other shizzle. Cant remember exactly how scientific these tests were but funny none the less.

The bike also started after such mistreatment. Thumbs Up

Yep, C90 as my GS has let me down once and my C90 that I had years ago never missed a beat. Wink

My first thought was '98 R1, but it is indeed the C90.

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

Either the C90, or the couriers favourite - GT750 (or GT550).

Thumbs Up

I might be wrong (and usually am), but isn't the C90 also the best selling Vehicle? Its out sold the likes of VW beatles and such...

I think the test on Top Gear finally managed to kill the C90 by running over it a few times with a Challenger Tank!!

A friend of mine had a Simpson 50 back in the day, it did not matter what we put it through, we could not kill it... We even managed 5 up on it, off road once! Although, the next day it only had 3rd gear...No neutral, just 3rd. But still it carried on for a few more weeks before he sold it, still running!
He got £5 for it if i remember rightly.

The C90 closely followed by the Armstrong MT500 they were made to be thrashed by squadies and dropped on parachutes( I got one of them due to the reliability).

Being a trifle pedantic here but the C70 was a better bike than the C90. They pulled better and went faster.

Another similar one which you don't often see is the Yamaha T80 townmate. It's basically an 80cc Honda Cub with shaft drive.

You are joking I hope!
The Lifan is a highly tuned superfast sports machine but like all such bikes they are a little delicate to say the least. To keep a liffy on song you need the attention of a team of highly trained technicians and millions of pounds worth of factory diagnostic equipment

The C70 has bigger valves and more radical cam-timing. FIt a 70 head on a Cub90 engine and they can out-drag a gixxer thou Very Happy

Agreed with C90.

Erm, what else? NTV650? CX500?

Strange - I've just realised that I've listed all Hondas! Thinking

I think thats the first time I've seen a C70/C90 described as having pulling power... Twisted Evil

Has to be CG125 - just look how many of them are running around the third world, not to mention the one that survived a couple of years of my riding...
