Hi this is my first post on this forum, iv got a CBR 600F '95 and a DTX 125 '06.
Ok I'm getting a restrictor kit fitted for my CBR 6 this week, and apparently it's a inlet restriction (rubbers?), just wondering whether the garage will alter the jetting or change anything else. Point being, once it's time to derestrict, will I just have to whip out the rubbers or will it involve returning to the garage for rejetting or whatever? Thanks for any replies.

the restriction will be four washers inbetween your carbs and inlet to your cylinders, and maybe a throtle restrictor as well.

if a good garage does it they will make nessacery changes to your bike if needed.

they are simple to take out at home, its a tank off job and takes around an hour at a relaxed pace.

they said there going to charge me for two hours Surprised Mad

also another slight problem, the bike came with a micron silencer and a k+n air filter and was re-jetted, will the kit still restrict this to 33bhp?

They're charging you labour as well? How much are you paying in total? Confused . The £170 I paid for the kit was to INCLUDE fitting.

I paid £200 for my bandit to be restricted including labour. The kit prices do vary, and garages will obviously try and make as much money out of you as possible for them really.

R6 isn't restricted so no loss there lol..

Got it when I bought the bike as new.

Came out legally 4 months later.

Managed to sell it on ebay for £9.
