My quick evening trip to Brecon and back

I filled up with petrol in Asda's garage and left Swansea at quarter to seven. I went up towards Pontardawe and headed up towards Brecon as it was sunny that way. Little did I know that it would soon rain.

I slowed down to almost legal limits and continued to press on rather than to turn around.

I got up to Defynnog and took a left to head towards Llandovery - home of the born agains. They do awesome cream slices.

Yes I know what awesome means but in this case it has to be said. They are huge!

On my way to Llandovery I did stop as it stopped raining for a little bit and allowed me to take some pictures.

Me pondering something meaningful and heartfelt

I soon called my mate Alex on my mobile to see how she was and a few police cars went passed. I thought nothing of it until one went past very slowly and then came to a stand still. It stayed there for a moment or two and then went up the road as it was backing up some cars. Two minutes later two police cars come towards me on my side of the road. I shot out of there sharpish. I checked my mirrors and they stopped where I was parked.

I got to Llandovery eventually and rode straight through as it was getting quite chilly and I was fucking starving. I headed towards Llangadog and then south towards the vicious Black Mountains. I got about two miles down the road on my way to the black mountains and soon turned around as it was absolutely pissing down. So I headed back through Llangadog and to Llandeilo.

I'm not going to write much for the next part but I'll say the rain was torrential and it took me an hour to get home from Llandovery (compared to the 30 minutes it took to get there!).

I'm absolutely soaked and I'm just about to cook a steak dinner. Yummy.
