For those of you whom are lazy...
Thanks to the EU we can now drive in any EU member state (and Switzerland/Norway) without having to worry about insurance. Your UK insurance must cover you abroad. The only thing to watch out for is the fact this is usually only 3rd party (i.e. if you are fully comp in the UK, you may only be covered 3rd party abroad).
All the best. ____________________ Travelling around the world...a bit at a time. Where am I now? / Visit my BLOG

You usually have to inform your insurance company that you are going aboard. First time I went away I was told to take my insurance documents and a cover note thing that they sent.
Second time I was just told to take my policy handbook and a note was made on their computer, so I suppose it vaires from company to company.
Its probably best to give them a quick ring. ____________________ Bikes: Honda CBR250RR [sold], Yamaha FZR600 [sold], Honda CBR600RR6 |

The easiest thing to do is to ring your insurance company and confirm that you'll be covered.
Then I took a photocopy of every possible bike-related doc I could think of.
PLEASE NOTE: No original documents were harmed on my tour. ____________________ Kawasaki ER6n -> Honda CBR600RR -> Honda VTR 1000 -> Moto Guzzi Norge 1200
