Try stopping for brief rest every 39 miles.
That way you'll never actually ride over 40 miles - hey presto, problem solved!

Maybe you need to relax a little whilst riding, maybe the ache is from holding on too tight and tensing the muscles. Try forcing yourself to hold on firmly but not tense, so a light touch but in control and relax your arms. A bike will go in a straight line it doesn't really need a rider to do that much.
When I started to relax on the NC, the ache in my right wrist went a way however the clutch still makes my left wrist hurt more than ache. The only answer to that is not to use it.
Having said that I don't know you might be really relaxed. If thats the case try wanking at work away from your wife. ____________________ NC30 + Bandit 6

Random question Kara: what is your handspan like?
I was just wondering if adjustable levers such as my training school use would help...

I have quite small hands, I can't ride the NC at the moment as I now have abroken scaphoid as well, but those adjustable levers seem worth a go! Cheers! ____________________ NC30 + Bandit 6

You have my sympathies on the scaphoid - I did mine a couple of years ago.
Just take it easy when you get the all clear and build the strength up in the wrist gradually before taking any long rides!
