Certain of that? I could go faster than that on my nsr with both restrictors in.

But all the same if you want to go faster you want to go up one tooth.

Is it running out of revs in top gear? I mean are you revving it into the red?
If you go up one tooth on the front sprocket (up to 14 tooth from 13) you will, theoretically, have a new top speed of 80mph. Not much difference.

Thats obviously dependant on the condition of your engine, wheel bearings, your chain, brakes (they might be dragging) etc. Any of the cycle parts can slow you down if they're not in good condition.

As ncrn said, his NSR could do more than 75 while still restricted, so my guess is that you're barking up the wrong tree.
In fact with highly reduced gear ratios, for the short circuit track, my TZR reaches about 75 with the tacho needle just touching the red.

Double check that you have removed both restrictors, make sure everything is working nice and smoothly.
If you lift the bike off the grond the wheels should rotate freely if you spin them. It seems obvious I know, but its something you need to check every now and then.

Have you compared your bike to a friend's one maybe? Testing the acceleration against a similar model should reveal how nicely the engine is working.

I'd really want to check the carb plate is deffinetly not there. Because that really restricts your fuel intake.

When you are riding it are you riding it to the red line before changing gear?
