As the Bros has a single sided swing arm do I need any special tools ie a big C spanner like the VFR? how different is the procedure? I don't think I have much of a chance at the moment considering the size of the nut.

Loosen the 17mm bolt then put a long screw driver or the like in to the
slots in the adjuster and line it up with a nut at the back of the sprocket
then hold it tight and turn the wheel backward moving the screw driver
as you feel it being pulled down.

Wot he said, although you're supposed to use a C spanner, not a screwdriver.

Manual here:

Not having much luck with this. I couldn't move the 'eccentric bearing carrier' with a screwdriver so ordered a C-spanner from wemoto, no luck.

I'm wondering if they sent my the correct tool, it slips very easily, how hard is this thing to turn because it won't budge even with a 'tap' from a screwdriver and hammer.

The slots are easily damaged and someone could have hammered it
before.
Put the C spanner in different places to find where a good slot could be.
