If I remember right from fitting a set to my mates bike, the max amps is somewhere around 3.5 amps. (Please correct me if I've got that wrong.)

So at night with your lights on, grips on full etc. you might struggle, especially when you are stuck in traffic.

The modern Oxfords turn off if the battery voltage drops below a certain point so you mght find yourself turning them on every time you speed back up. (not that easy as you have to hold on a small button until the leds come on)

What bike do you have, someone might have fitted them and can give you more specific information.

Hey.

Your battery might be on the way out. I recently fitted hotgrips to my 125 and don't have any probs, they're cheapo chinese jobs so don't turn off if the battery gets low.

Mind you, now that I think about it. It has been running a bit wierd lately. I thought it was just the cold... Mmmm... Can't really recall of the top of my head if I have the grips on when it happens...

Mmmm again... Confused

I was thinking about swapping my indicators for LED ones, they pull less current down. If having the grips on proves to be the problem, I might get that done sooner rather than later.

Hope you solve it.

Cheers

Torque values need to be much higher or the grips will stay cold. Thumbs Up Wink

You should be fine with the decent Hot Grips. They definitely turn off as I've fitted these to about 5 bikes recently and the LED flashes when the battery is low at idle. I think they retail at £52 for the decent ones. Thumbs Up
