Hello Laughing

I'm a tad confused. I've got the clutch on, I did everything to the manual. I put the cover on, pulled the lever and its solid as soon as the lifter piece touches the bearing. Looking at it the lifter plate is up tight against the mainshaft nut.

Do you tighten the bolts on the pressure plate just enough so that it can push the plates together? All it states is to do them up to a certain torque, but my torque wrench doesn't go that low.

When I did the clutch on my NSR I just tightened up the pressure plate and that was it.

Question

Not totally sure what you mean so I will run through a few problems with the Bros clutch.

You often get sold NTV600/650 springs for these, they fit physically but are coil bound i.e. completely compressed when fitted so the clutch cannot disengage.

If the plates are too thick the stack height is too high so the springs are coil bound so again it can't disengage.

If the lever doesn't move its one of the above.

It was probably solid as a rock if it had the wrong springs. Parts people seem to think that as the engine is available in many forms all the parts are interchangeable, they're not.
