I don't think they are as good as they use to be
I've bought a Haynes manual for every car I've ever owned, the newer the car the less useful the manual.
Maybe this is due to todays cars and motorcycles being more complicated and more reliant on electronics?
They are okay for a quick reference (if you can find what you're looking for that is). I suppose they can be useful for checking specifications and tolerances.
But other than that I think they are as much use as an ashtray on a motorbike. ____________________ Current bike : Yamaha XVS125 Dragstar

I like them. I'm a complete monkey with a set of tools, but the Haynes does give me enough confidence to do jobs.
And then to repair whatever I fucked up with the original repair.
The Baby one rocks, I wouldn't base your entire child rearing on the manual alone but it's good to get you an overview of the first two years and looks good on the shelf.
