Clutch adjustment

Hi,

Finally got a mechanic to have a look at my bike. Turns out it was the powervalve. Carbon deposits had made it stick.

Anyway... I need to adjust my clutch so it engages sooner. I have turned the screw on the level all the way out. But it still needs to be sooner. How else can i adjust it.

Turn the screw at the lever in and not out.

not sure if im understanding you,
if you want to tighten up your clutch cable,
so you dont have to pull lever too far,
& adjuster nut is screwed out,
cable needs tightened at clutch end.
but you need the special tool!
looks like a handle type thing,
your local shop should do it for you,
but you cant tighten it too much as it ruins your clutch.

Hi

Main adjuster is inside the clutch cover. There is an inspection hole in the middle of the clutch cover to adjust it. Get the adjustment right with that first, and then use the adjuster on the bars to adjust the free play.
