 |
|
Hi. I've just bought a Leo Vince ZX Hand-Made Exhaust for my ped and it fits but on the standard pipe there is two holes: 1 is the main pipe the 2nd is another smaller pipe which leads back into the crank case.On the Leo Vince exhaust there is no second hole for it? Do i just leave it off or cover it up? Help please!
Thanks

Yes is it a second rubber hose. I've explained to my dad (whos a mechanic) that if that is removed then the restriction on the exhaust is removed but he isnt convinced. He thinks it will spew up exhaust fumes and oil |

Im not convinced.
If the second pipe is metal then it probably will be the restrictor pipe, but this metal pipe would not attach to the crank case,it would be a closed end.
If the pipe is rubber i would have thought it was a crank case breather pipe. That would go from the crank case to the exhaust (although i thought they went to the air intake side not exhaust?)
anyway in answer to your question:
If its a rubber pipe the i think most people replace it with a small k&n style filter...
Oh and it wouldnt spew up exhaust fumes, just oil vapour
HTH

Im pretty sure its something to do with the catalytic converter malarkey? Most people just cut it off and crimp the end over,or patch over it with weld or whatever. Taking it off wont harm anything. |
