Today my R1 just lost power when i was riding along, i came to a stop and it just died, didn't hear a bang or anything.
It will JUST about start with the choke on and as soon as you give it any throttle it will die.

So i had to push the bike home and i got a flat tyre on my scooter also this week! Not going too well.

Any help would be greatfull. Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

water in the carboreter? same thing happened to me although i have a 125.. Confused

Sounds like the bike is not getting any fuel. Check that you have got any and then I would start to look whether it sparks or not.

what kind of r1 is it?
98,02,04,07?
has it done it before?
did you get it extra wet?
has it got an immobilizer?
with you saying it has a choke im guessing its pre 02.
sounds like fuel starvation.
either no fuel or a blocked fuel line or fuel pump is dead or dieing

How cold was it?
Could be carb icing?

Also, my ZXR was running really rough with little power and stalled as soon as i stopped, turned out that the tank cap breather valve was blocked, creating a vacume.
So maybe try starting it up with the cap open? (how i found out it was the breather)
