 |
|
A big part of me would like to get a Street Triple at some point as my next bike. Now, my question is, do they actually make them with the longer tail like the Daytona?
I've seen this pic, but I've never seen a Street Triple with the longer tail like this.

I prefer them so much more like this! I'd love to get one, but I just can't stand the short tail on them. It just looks a bit weird... Were there any ever made like that, or would it need a bit of work? |

Not quite that simple I'm afraid, as per my other post. The alternator on the Striple is heavier duty, to cope with the extra load that the 2 headlight put on it, as is the battery. There isn't space in the Daytona's subframe to hide the larger Striple battery. The exhaust is different, all the way to the header pipes so a full system is needed. Pistons and camshafts are different, so a Daytona fuel map wouldn't work right in a Striple, so that means tune boy.
However, there is a whisper that there will be a Street Triple 'R', with higher spec (Daytona?) suspension, brakes and motor. ____________________ BCF: Be yourself, just don't be an arse. |
