Whats the electric start doing?? When you press the button does the engine try to start? Does it turn over.. Does it just click?? Or does it do nothing and the dash go out?

The clutch lever has an adjuster on the cable so you can remove most of the slack cable (leave a couple of mm though)

Try to only start the bike when its in neutral as when in gear, even with the clutch pulled in, it puts a lot of strain on the little starter motor and will wear it out much faster....

If the bike is new the clutch will drag a little as they come with cheap nasty engine oil in as standard which should be changed at the first service 625miles (1000km) and we use a fully synthetic gearsaver oil which improves the gearchange and clutch feel loads!

Sounds like battery is faulty then... its under the fuel tank.

5mm allen bolt at the front, 2x 6mm allen bolts under seat and it lifts off... there is a wire for the fuel light, the 2 pipes onto the fuel tap and a pipe from the fuel cap drain to be undone and you can remove it... then youll see the battery next to the coolant bottle.

Should be a YTX5LBS.
