Sorry for the crap photos but they were taken on my phone as I'm without my camera at the moment.

2004 XR250 on a 53 plate

Had a very quick ride on the bike at the seller's house and it feels like a good laugh. Sounds pretty good as well which surprised me. Quite lively as well as I think it's been downgeared a bit.

Was intending to get a stroker like Michael J's awesome GasGas but this came along at the right time and was in the right place.

Can't wait to go out and get muddy Mr. Green

I thought this as well, until I rode one. The suspension's usually pretty soft, which sags low enough to feel comfortable.

Nice bike, is it in addition to the 600?

Think you'll find Craig means in general motocross bikes have soft suspension. In fact, i know he means this because i've grown up around motocross. So it wasn't a dig...

Paid £1450 for it - it needs a new front light for it as the glass is broken. Mileage is 2500 or thereabouts.

Eh? You back on the morphine again Razz I found my bike at the bottom of an endless pit?

Bit fecked off not having had a proper ride on it as it's dark when I get home from work and the light is fubared.

Thought I'd have a quick go practising the kickstart and had no luck after about 5 minutes was beginning to think "I've bought a piece of poo". Checked the fuel tap, then the killswitch..... Embarassed

I found it on Ebay Andy.

Nice bike Joe, I like it. I realise this is a bit, late, youve already been on a ride (cool thread).

I had me an XR125, and I hate how the pipes rust so quickly - one of the XR ranges worst features I think.

But the 125 was fun enough for a bit of green laning, even though the motor wasnt quite enough fun when approaching a hill Sad

But I imagine the 250's a right hoot! Thumbs Up
