Leaking Carb?? Help

My CCM 350 2 stroke has a leaking carb. Im pretty shite with engines but can do the basics. Ive taken off the bottom which is held on with a pivoting clip, and geuss its leaking because the floats arent working so the needle is perminently down, is this right?? Any suggestions for fixing it??

Seen carbs use springs for the floats before, just check if this is the used method the spring isn't too long/stretched thus keeping the floats in a position to cut off fuel.

Where is it leaking from.Is it the top edge of the bowel or the bottomIt could be the seal on the bowel.

check the floats make sure no fuel has drained in to them, this would stop them well floating...

I suppose the simplest check would be to make sure that the screw to drain the bowl is tight and not causing a leak in the first place.

ok ta, its a quick release type bowl, with a simple clip holding it on,( all original), its leaking through what looks like a overflow?? But I shall check the floats for fuel in them, fingers X!

it's mostly a fuel valve sticking in it's sit , sometimes one or two knocking with a mallet will solve the problem
