*Hope I don't get spam ratings*

I just thought I'd post about my unexpected good service from wemoto this week as I bet a few people will be thinking about ordering some new bits for their bikes for the summer around now. I ordered some sprockets and brake pads from them yesterday morning (3rd) as they were the cheapest about (with the most options for sprockets sizes to boot) and paid £3 postage and I was expecting them sometime next week. So imagine my surprise when they turned up this morning with a free keyring and a free copy of a motorbikers digest! Very cool IMO because it means I can fix up my bike on sunday now instead of struggling for time in the week!

Just thought I'd post this as people are usually quick to complain but often never pass on stories of good service Thumbs Up

P.S. I don't work for them or anything and I'm not on comission!

I'd agree since Sickpup is strangely absent (either he is annoyed at me or too busy couriering or both) I've been buying quite a few bits from Wemoto.

Always been great help but...

the front break leaver they sent was built correctly (i.e. the bit of metal which turned the break sensor on/off wasn't the right size) and then my Dad bought a indicator flasher unit which also didn't work.

Service has been great though, posted nice and quickly.

good service, but the pattern parts are shite.
Bought a mudguard and a mirror from there for my bike.
Mudguard doesn't fit (they said it would)
The mirror is useless, its rusting badly and the lens is so much more blurry then the official one.

Anyone who thinks consumable items for 400s are difficult to get hold of should shop with Wemoto.

Always provide an outstanding service, no matter what bike I've had. Just down the road from my work too, save even more on the postage prices (which are usually next day anyway).

Thumbs Up

yes Wemoto have been good to me too, sadly the last bunch of things I ordered ended up being largely useless since my lil' Suzuki Estilete was stolen Evil or Very Mad so the brake lever, exhaust gasket and brake shoes were of little use to me Crying or Very sad

I use one of their keyrings for my main bike key. Sturdy thing indeed, even survived an attempted tarmac eating when I had my 2nd accident. Its damaged (but not totalled), and serves as a reminder about what happened and stuff Cool

Nearly went for a job there once (I.T related), but I would have had to leave the West Midlands and go and live away from home which I didnt really like the idea of doing Embarassed

I ordered a brake light switch and with in 2 days it was here, I'd gotten one elsewhere the day before, not opened the package yet.
They give keyrings? *finds jiffy bag*

His ebay shop is in a few people's sigs... Alternatively, here's the link:

https://stores.ebay.co.uk/Motorcycle-service-parts
He's available for quotes, prices, special orders etc via there.
To be honest, I think he's a little fed up with people on here asking for quotes etc, then buying from wemoto anyhow... Even when he has spent ages working out how to give them a cheaper price.
He's also been looking into getting a web site away from ebay in order to be able to keep prices cheap, this should be up and running soon.

And for all those that asked... He's fine... I'm sure he'll recover from spending 11 days over christmas with me soon enough Wink

In Sickpup's defence he still has to do a day job and has a life outside of work. I've never had a problem with his service with him, in fact going out of his way for me. Thumbs Up

Perhaps you just sadly slipped through the net, give him another try and see what happens.

Yes but when messages for agreed parts and quotes via livechat are agreed then you PM for a paypal invoice which sits unread for 2-3 weeks then its time to go elsewhere.

FAO Itchy: So go..... *shrugs*

Don't know if he's even been on BCF lately, and asking for quotes etc in Live chat while he's here for the week.... I believe he said to you about waiting until he got home? And 2-3 weeks is a bit of an over-exaggeration, it was over christmas, right?
Anyhow, I'm also pretty certain he told you that all the parts you needed were in stock in his ebay shop. (?)

We haven't agreed on quotes on prices or parts so that is complete rubbish as you well know.

As to Paypal payments as far as I know you don't have a paypal account so that's a crock. In fact you even asked me if my bank details are still the same for paying me.

The only thing I know of that you are after is exhaust clamps and possibly a battery that you may or may not have been after for about 2 months since you started having problems with your NTV. As YOU pointed out in live chat the clamps are in my ebay shop so why you couldn't buy them from there I don't really know but it is your choice where you buy things from.

2-3 weeks is absolute rubbish as well considering this conversation took place around new years eve or the day before. Which was the only time I have been on BCF in over three weeks.

Loz's point especially in relation to you is VERY pertinent as well. How many times have you asked me for quotes over the last year and how many times have you ordered from me?

I doubt you go into shops continually asking for quotes as they would simply tell you to fuck off. I haven't, yet. I deal with you and answer all of your questions then the one time I am not available you decide to lie about the service I provide or not provide as you seem to have decided. Great way to make friends and influence people, well done.

Chris-red

If I have failed to reply to a PM I am sorry.

Everyone else who I have failed to reply to in the last few weeks.

I have not been around as I have been trying to sort out my own personal and business life over the last 3 weeks so that I can afford to open and fund my new site. This will have been the only 3 weeks I have had off of work by choice in over a year so I think I deserve it. Having spent half of last year not being able to walk much due to problems with both my knees I really needed 3 weeks off just to relax.

What's the point of being able to offer parts cheap to others and I have dealt with a lot of people on here if I just end up out of business due to exhaustion or bankruptcy?

If people want to pay shop prices I can give them a shop service but while people want to pay cut rate prices where I make VERY little profit they will have to put up with a service where sometimes I am not available due to having to deal with my own life.

<EDIT> I've just spent TWO WEEKS waiting for a new radiator to appear from a shop, a real shop with VAT No. which they had in stock.

Virtually everything ordered from me is delivered within two working days by trackable delivery at low cost. I don't try and make money from postage and I don't make huge profits.<EDIT>

I've just realised, regardless of whatever date we spoke you knew I wasn't back at work until the 2nd so you have typed out this lying bullshit reply claiming 2-3 weeks when I only had 3 working days to get you the quote and you wrote this on the 3rd day.

You've been buying bits from Wemoto for ages which I couldn't give 2 fucks about it's your money afterall but when you come on here telling lies about me it does fuck me off.

How the fuck did 3 working days become 2-3 weeks as stated here?

Itchy wrote:

Perhaps you should try decaf tommorow.

And to Lozzy I have , I didn't exactly kick up a massive fuss about it, I didn't bad mouth anybody (seriously) did I ? and infact my comments reflected some of what others thought too.

I'm a firm believer in name n shame did I do this?, nope not really I went elsewhere.

I seem to believe it is you guys who are kicking up such a fuss about this.

Hmm lets see....

Dec 15th I attempt to remove my CBR600 swing arm, I need a castle bolt thing and vent on live chat for to G who advises me to go to Halfords and get a cheapo grinder , realising I've mushed up my bearings using my special tool a large hammer which was the title of the PM, if you'd read it, which I thought you might appreciate the joke.

I waited and waited checking my outbox till about Dec 24th, thought sack this and went to go see Russ, who sold me the swingarm pivot ones , and I recycled the suspension ones.

I make my own castle bolt and put me bearings in easy as pie that job..

https://www.bikechatforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=128516

Its mostly fixed, come New years eve or something like that , I ask him for a battery and clamps and oh cush drive rubbers which you say something like

"you should have noticed a big clunk when you applied the brakes"

And

"its a bit hard to quote you a price when my [something] books are 160ish miles away"

I PM Tuesday lunch, a PM titled Battery + diagnosis , which was a bit of a joke also in that I had a (toy) gun against the head lamp of the NTV, and wanted battery , cush drive rubbers , though this was edited to add a CBR stainless system after.

Bendy did a

"you snooze you lose"

on me for her CBR600 (Micron) stainless system, since your £190 October 2007 quote minutes after my disagreement with the road was ok not the cheapest but best let somebody sorta I know make a few quid off me than a total stranger.

And Paypal? ,

A wise man once said to me,

"times change"

This was in response to

Linky

Paying into your bank is just curtesy , I used to be a bit of a fixer till places like Hamleys started encroaching on my market , check out my post of 2006 when Kawashima said hi when I sold stuff I used to be rinsed of 12% fees from my online credit card acceptance company, I had thoughts on selling imported Japanese stuff again.

I still have a few items in stock , Perfect grade evangelions, Patlabor robots , various unbuilt Gundams etc have you ever been to Battersea? there is a large shop there, I've never actually set foot in there but did a small amount of trade with him

Going to the bank isn't a problem since I get sent out on audit and get paid for the miles I do.

Linky

I've no idea what paypal charges in fees but from comments on the forum I assumed it was alot considering I DO know that banks will charge about 25p per a deposit on biz accounts and on my old experience of being rinsed 12% better 25p is better than £30!.

Up to yesterday at the bike show I was still recommending you when me Gman and Stiffler passed a bike parts stall when we passed those magnetic pickup things which double up as a baton.

Regards

Wemoto is good but i think they're expensive for certain things. A lot of the honda bits i've bought are just Honda parts with a mark up.

However, when i've used them they've been pretty quick with the delivery.
