Got an old PCI soundblaster 16 lying around anywhere? I'm sure everyone must have! Try it on something like that first. ____________________ Past: '96 Thundercat, '02 ZX636R (A1P), '58 KTM 690 SM LC4 Current: '06 ZX636R (C6F)

Paint don't conduct electricity unless it has metal flakes in it...

That should be of some interest - particularly the bottom paragraph - it seems you can get lacquer designed for this purpose, but he also says it's a risky job so given it's not a cheap network card like that I'd be wary.
You could always flog it to me and get yourself a black one, I don't care what colour mine is. |

Aye, 'tis the same mobo I've got. It's currently got two wonderfully black 7900GS cards hanging off it and I just can't bare the thought of stuffing some ugly green thing in there. Should've just got a fully enclosed casein the first place, as opposed to this one's nearly full plexiglass side. But, I just couldn't help myself.
Looks like I'll be buying the ugly green bastard and waiting 'til a bit more subtle case goes on sale in the near future.
And I certainly can't afford a GTX FFS! ____________________ https://www.bikepics.com/members/californiarookie/04gsxr600/

the new GTS is based on the same archetecture as the Gt and runs very cool. Although atm Ive seen alot come DOA and genreally not work properly. GT was a good choice and id just live with it being green ____________________ 2005 - 2006:Peugeot jet force 50 TDSI (sold)

I 2nd the comment on the thing running hot and cooking itself. The paint is not going to conduct heat and probably cause the traces to overheat and maybe crack leaving it unusable.
Still I'm all for it and reckon you should give it a go
After all you asked the question....now it's time to find out.
So get in there and take one for the team ____________________ meh |

Its going to be very hard to paint the board and keep it off the capacitors and voltage regulators. If you coat these in paint, its almost certain they will overheat at some point in the future.
You can buy black cards from XFX |
