Hi!Ive got two fizzes (yes Im sad to say im stuck in my youth)But ones a half finished project with a yb100 engine fitted.It has a spark but wont run(even with a bit of petrol down the barrel)Does anyone know if anything else needs changing before it will run.cheers all

Do a compression check on it. IF you dont have the tool just wind her over with your thumb over the plug hole. No matter how hard you try it should always be able to blow your thumb off the hole.

It fells like its got compression!Its usually just acase of spark and fuel and that should be enough!cheers anyway

You arent using old fuel are ya? Is it a strong spark?

Just because a plug sparks, doesn't mean it will do so inside the engine. Change it for one you know is working.

Then check the points are correctly set. A spark is no use if it is happening at the wrong time.

No I havnt actually put any fuel in yet!I just put some down the barrel cos thats normally enough just to fire the engine if spark etc is ok.The spark looks fine and consistant when I turn it over.

Found the problem!Its the wiring etc.no condensor and needs new wiring loom(half the wirings broken)
