I'll admit they're good for keeping weighty items restrained and low down. The benefit of having it supported by the seat isn't lost on me either, but altough I used one for a couple of weeks I was happy when my tank bag arrived. My wallet stays in my jacket pocket, I want the paramedics to be able to identify me quickly, not look through my lost luggage. ____________________ My claim to fame: Austin Vince nicked my pen... |

My other half once rolled up with a leather bumbag for me
Its still in the packet, on top of the wardrobe and thats where its staying
My excuse is, that I have tons of pockets in my jacket. If I ever invest in some one piece leathers (which wouldnt be a nice sight, with my lumps and bumps)..then I might be forced to reconsider the bumbag issue. |

I've got an Oxford one which, during summer rides whilst wearing 1-piece, usually holds:
Wallet
Keys
Bottle of drink
Munchy bars
A5 UK road atlas
Spare earplugs
Toolkit
Spare visor
Mein "Handy"
Spare change
Damp cloth in sandwich bag (for visor cleaning)
Niquitin lozenges (used to be cigs & lighter)
Cargo net
Small 1st aid kit
For the winter, I go nuts and use the Lidl tank bag. ____________________ "That's it. You people have stood in my way long enough. I'm going to clown college."

At least call it by its proper name....Fanny pack. Dont see the need for one if you have a top box fitted, most of my daily stuff goes in my pockets. ____________________ Cbr1100xx blackbird gone, mk4 golf gt tdi chav now

I just can't bring myself to use one . . . . However, I do have friends who do.
I have a tiny tankbag I got for £2.99 from Lidl. It was an impluse buy, but I love it now. It fits all I need; money, phone, inhaler, undergloves, lipsalve etc
I can even get a spare t-shirt in there if needs be. ____________________ RVF400 (NC35) My baby |
