Aha, I thought we hadn't had one of these in a while.
The response is always the same, some say do, some say don't.
It's your head, how much do you value it? ____________________ My Flickr |

Jesus, the old "your helmet is made from light-bulb glass but twice as thin" bullshine.
Your helmet will be absolutely fine, unless you think a fall of approx 2 feet onto gravel (gravel mind, not concrete or tarmac) will have cracked it. If it has cracked it, or otherwise rendered it useless, thank god you found out how shite it is before you had a crash in it. ____________________ "There's the horizon! I've got a couple of helmets in similar condition due to the odd stone chip or light scrape.
I've also had them inspected by various officials at track days saying that they are fine. One guy advised me I could take my helmet back to Arai and ask them to give it the once over.
In summary, from the fall it seems highely unlikely that you have caved in the protective interior of the helmet shell, so I expect it will be fine .
Maybe place your helmet on the floor next time |

nice one - on my head it stays
Havnt really got the cash for a new lid at the mo, but will probably add a new helmet to the list of stuff to buy and get one when i get the cash - just wanted to make sure it wasnt gonna fall apart if the worst happens and i do come off - can remember my CBT intructor saying dropped helmets should go in the bin.
ta for the advice. ____________________ I seem to have misplaced my pants................... |
