its one of 3 things:

speedo drive.
this is where the speedo cable links to the front wheel hub, they have been know to go. if it has you need to get a new one, try breakers.

speedo cable.
to check this undo the cable from the drive and speedo and turn the central core around. if it spins at the other end your speedo is ok.

speedo unit.
well if this is gone its expensive. ask you local bike shop, or an aprilia specialsist, if they can repair them. if not its new speedo or breakers speedo, although they will be one of the first things to go in an accident.

when my speedo stopped working, the cable had just dropped out the bottom of the speedo from vibration, so check that first.

Hi

Check the cable first as they are cheap enough to do. However the speedo drive (on the front wheel spindle) on the later RS125 does seem to be known for failing

All thebest

Do a search.

There is a post somewhere about replacing a speedo cable. It has probably snapped. Check this by undoing it, spin the front wheel, and feel the end to check it's rotating. If it isn't then the cable has snapped.

"fixed it"? you mean secured it? did you do what Robby suggested? - un-screw the cable from your speedo, and roll the bike forwards and backwards, and see if the metal core rotates - if so, then the cable is fine and it's probably one of the other things that Robby suggested.
