Have you had it "de-restricted" or have the servo kit fitted?
I had a TZR a while back, and had a similar problem.

Check there are no leaks from the powervalve covers (will be a blackish fluid if it is).
Check the reeds for damage too.

i was told by a bike mechanic that it is de restricted, it doesnt have a servo kit on it. The was like oil comeing out of the cover but it has stopped and the reeds are brand new.

The powervalve covers shouldn't leak at all.
Does your bike accelerate up to 6k faster than it used to? If so then the powervalve has moved.

Check the airbox isn't blocked and that the filter is clean.

i have sorted out the leaking, the air filter is new, no blockages, it accelerates at the same speed even though we have tried moving the powervalve. i am going to have a good fiddle with the bike and i will let you know what i come up with if anything.

i had a play and then took it out for a ride, i got it to 9000rpm in 1st gear. when i went to second and it got to 7000rpm it felt like the bike didnt want to go past it as it was shuddering. i changed the plug and still the same. air filter is fine carb is fine.
