Hey, I'm 16 and I live in the UK. I have just bought my first bike ; a Derbi GPR 50 R and I'm doing my CBT on saturday.
Just wondering if you guys had any tips on how I can get the best performance out of my bike, E.G. parts I should fit, or maintenance etc.
If anybody wants a pic of my bike PM me and ill send you one.
Sorry if this post is newb-ish. |

Yah... it's newbish Most new kids on here seem to only be worried about performance and want to go as fast as possible, which isn't a bad thing but you just wanna take it easy to start off with. If I were you I'd get your CBT done first and then spend a little while riding your bike and getting used to it and how it works before you change anything. Until then the best thing you can do is clean and maintain it regularly and look after it before you start thinking of power valves/exhausts etc.
Hope this helped Get some pictures of your bike up so we can all see! |

Sorry I phrased that badly; What I had intended to say was something more like
What can I do to make the most of what the bike has to offer.
I dont intend to do anything major to the bike either. I intend to move onto a 125cc in a year so i dont intend to put on any expensive parts for the sake of a few extra MPH.
and also theres a pic of my bike here

In that case, clean it regularly, look after it well, only use good quality oil and fuel and the rest is up to how you ride it!
Looks like a nice bike, hope you have fun on it after your CBT |
