Whereabouts are you, your profile doesn't say if looked after, ordinary chains (as opposed to O ring or X ring) can last as long on smaller bikes. If your on a budget but want a good chain, try Tsubaki.
£60 quid to change your chain sounds a bit rich to me
Oh, the reason the chain makes more noise when you are decelerating is because when accelerating the slack of the chain is at the bottom, when slowing down, it's at the top where it has less clearance.  |

The problems lies not with the state of your chain, it lays with the fact that your bike is a CBR .
Seriously though what is changing a chain, like 1-1half hours for a lazy mechanic? £20 tops I reckon  |
