I've had my 3rd rear puncture today since january.

Jan: Screw in the rear tyre, replaced tyre

March: Big **** off bolt thought the rear, replaced tyre

Get back from work today and hear 'pssssssssss' and my heart sunk, another screw in the rear tyre

I've only had this tyre just over 3 weeks (200 miles) Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad

Am i just unlucky?

ive just got my 2nd one in 3 days. quit bitching

Repairs are good, sound like they took you for a ride there with 3 new tyres in a row.
As for the bitching HL seems to think your doing, i cant see why you cant voice your frustration.

Do you filter? , if you do and go on the patches learing up towards traffic islands theres loads of tyre danger in those places.

Also same with traffic lights, and also in the middle of lanes.

Tyre defence is pretty easy, ride in the places where other car tyres are, ie behind their indicators of stop lights.

Don't filter where its dirty, just stop and have a look.

On split speed bumps go down the middle.

Don't ride too close to the kerb, also if filtering down on the middle scan for debris in the middle to short distance, don't focus.

I'll see about getting it plugged, alot of places round here wont do it tho.

As for half_lyfe, i'll ask for your advice if i ever blow up my engine due to lack of oil, fucking prick

Mind you. On some bikes the front wheel seems to set things up perfectly for the rear to run over them. I got a 4" nail in the rear tyre of my VFR, stuck straight in.

Bungs work WAY better than the manufacturers claim. Even those stab-through ones you do yourself. I've had one in for 4,000miles on a Z rated tyre (doing z-rated speeds). I had a damned good look at it when the tyre was removed and it looked good and solid even with the tread well below the wear bars.

As has been said, those pre-treatment 'slime' things seem to work well too.

There's many more Dance! Cool

I take it the puncture is in the main part of the tyre and not the sidewall right? Just go for a puncture repair. Easy, cheap, decent solution.
