IXON Hacker Jacket
Got integral armour and a mixture of textile and mesh panels.
Very good but a little cold first thing in the morning or late at night and offers no waterproofing whatsoever.

Went for a nice ride the other day like this:
https://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c390/chrisd87/DSC02601.jpg
Only gear was a Caberg Breeze half-face helmet.
One thing I noticed was how well I rode! Much more lesuirely and more aware of my surroundings. ____________________ Chris

I wear an old RST pro-series jacket. Vented in the tummy area, With the lining removed and wearing a t shirt underneath does the trick for me ____________________ www.oldskoolsuzuki.info |

I can't believe you actually went out on your bike like that and had the stupidity to post the pictures on a bike forum, your a complete idiot.
Your wearing your mam's shiny green flip flop's.
(edit: Not a dig about wearing gear just flip flops are a pet hate, sandals would've been ok though) ____________________ Tristan the wrote: just whipped off my trousers to find a big bruise on my arse, caused by matt rear ending me...

Well I just one bought one of these:
https://www.biker247.com/news/10399.asp
Weiss Air Spin 2 in Black / Grey. £100
cos I am sick of sweating my cobs off riding through Bristol. So now I have 3 jackets, all Weiss; Full Textile waterproof/ Leather / and Air Spin.
That has to be enough, right?

The latter two are definitely enduro armour, which I reckon could easily be ripped off the moment you hit tarmac.
They are well made, but well made for their purpose. I've got one of these and it definitely wouldn't survive long rolling down the road.
The one that claims it can be used outside a a tshirt looks similarly made and I definitely wouldn't want to be trusting my skin with it.
Obvious answer is just to go faster . |

Here's how I kept cool last summer.
Must admit though , I haven't gone /that/ far with no safety gear at all on the roads... I have ridden locally in t-shirt but 99% of time I'd wear a jacket and gloves. I never really wear protective trousers, but when I get a dedicated road bike again I'll buy some textiles ____________________ Current Toys: 06 Yamaha WR250F | Nissan 350Z GT | Tech 4 Homes |

I own: https://www.mcaleicester.co.uk/uploads/2007210132842_resize.jpg
On hot days i wear boots, draggin jeans, the above mesh armor with a t-shirt/hoodie over the top and gloves.
Honestly though the last couple of days i have been riding around in t-shirt and shorts, I dont really know why but it has been quite amusing to see the dirty looks from other bikers sweating their balls off in full leathers. Mind you this is not for hooning, this is going to and from various places, so i adjust my riding accordingly, i agree with RXS Chris, when you dont have much gear on you ride accordingly...
Just as when im fully geared up with that armor under my leather jacket i tend to ride like a complete twat...
I remember reading something about the psychology of risk compensation or something like it... For instance when cars started getting ABS, instead of encouraging people to drive with further stopping distances they tailgated even harder, knowing they can stamp on the brakes later and get away with it. Im more likely to push the envelope when fully geared up, so in this baking weather im happy to ride nice and gently, remaining cool. |

WTF ?
I'm glad you said you wear a t-shirt over that or you might get free entry to the Blue Oyster bar ____________________ Staffs Riders Forum |
