Hi all
I've just recently purchased a CB 1300 03 model ,well i fitted a after market can on it today ( MRS) and i noticed that although it's sounds lovely and throaty ( the original can is real quiet)it feels slightly sluggish the grunt and torque is not up there any more .
What i want to know do i need to get it dyno jetted and should i purchase a power commander and maybe a K+N filter or is there another way around it ?.
It still pulls like a train when i rev it higher but at low speeds it kinda backfires alot any info would be great
Thanks Smile Thumbs Up Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

you lose the back pressure with a different can and its the back pressure that makes the bike run right for that mid range

you probably need to have a re-jet done

if i was you i would see if you can open the air box up more and fit a different filter too before the re-jet it will give you that extra omphhh too Smile

If its started backfiring since fitting the new can check for air-leaks at the join. Oxygen being introduced to hot pipe and unburnt fuel = BANG! Wink

to be honest im not sure

some bikes you can do others you cant

usually there is loads of emmissions cr*p that can come off too that helps with the running of the bike

have you searched for a cb1300 forum ? i think there is one out there Smile
