This should be in workshop, anyway sometimes they get a bit upset after they have been on their sides so just keep trying. It'll catch eventually.

My XR gets upset after being on it's side and floods.

Just leave it for 10 mins then go back to it, unless you have a decompression lever on the CG?

From a honda dealer, shouldn't cost a lot.

Is it the whole case or just the lense?

Get it direct from a Honda dealer.

It cost me £3 for a new one for my Aprilia RSV from a dealer, shouldn't cost you much at all.

If you flood it again, hold the throttle wide open and kick/turn it over with the kill switch off, if you can do that (some bikes won't turn at all with the killswitch off). This opens the butterflys and lets air in to evaporate the fuel more quickly.

Don't do this with the killswitch on as you risk it firing and maxxing revs on a possibly cold engine.

Cheers

Grim

Wouldn't you just be filling the cylinder with more fuel? I always thought you took the plug out, kicked it over a few times and let it stand with the plug out fo a few minutes. Isn't it the plug getting wet and failing to spark that causes the problems?

No, turning it over without firing does not cause enough vacuum to raise the carb diaphragm. Only enough fuel to idle, from the idle jet, will get into the cylinder and that is a very small amount compared to the amount required to flood the engine.

Cheers

Grim
