Maybe the board should ask members for donations towards getting more bandwidth on the server. I'm seeing too much "blah blah, server too busy" thingys all the time </3

I'd donate, would anybody else?

i wouldnt.

too many sites go down that route and it can spell disaster.

this site doesnt have anything id pay for personally.

id rather go to a site dedicated to my model of bike and there are plenty of general sites out there.

I dont think its a bandwidth issue, more like a server load issue.

Need more rams and ghzs and magics

Oh, and the donation topic has been floating around for well over a year now. General consensus was that half would(myself included) and half wouldn't. Thumbs Up

I'd be disappointed if BCF disappeared as it's a very easy way to arrange meet ups. If the SE section didn't have lots of meets then I wouldn't miss it that much.

Kornel told me yesterday that he has just ordered ANOTHER server.

I'm sure the server busy issues will be resolved soon.

ya say you wouldnt pay, but ive been on other forums, where they couldnt afford to keep it running, and didnt bother to ask if any one would make a donation. and it went down.
and it sucked, mainly because of the guys that you were usually chatting to, were gone, organising rides became that much harder, ect ect,
i would happily donate, bcf is by far and away my fav forum Very Happy

I would certainly donate... prehaps we could get transfers of the BCF logo made and sent to donators (I really want a BCF logo on my bike Very Happy )
