Having trouble with eBike at the moment. Basically what happened was I took out an insurance policy on a bike I was due to buy but unfortunately the sale fell through, I canceled my policy the day after I took it out, this was on the 13 May.

I emailed their customer services who promptly replied saying they'd get a cheque out for the £113 deposit within two weeks. I said I didn't want a cheque, I would rather have it back onto my card (I use online banking so I'd only have to send the cheque to my bank via the post, which is another few days) They said no problem we'll do it this afternoon.

That was 19 days ago and I've still had no money.

I've emailed them twice last week and I've not had any response so far. To make matters worse I had £63 taken from the bank as part of the first installment! I managed to get this back under the DD Guarantee scheme by speaking directly to the bank. I've tried eShites phone number and I just sit on hold and it's an 0870 number so bugger if I'm paying for that...

Is there anything I can do get my money back any quicker? I have bills that need paying and it's really starting to piss me off now Evil or Very Mad

All you can do is ring them up and shout really. That'll get it done fastest. Mention the FSA and Financial Ombudsmun to really shit them up.

If you can afford to wait 3 days, send them a letter too and keep a record of it. Thumbs Up

Email to the head honcho, but keep it polite, he's a nice guy and can get things done quickly.

Hope you got that in writing.

Amazing how a company that prides its self on being a e business. When it comes to refunds needs to send a cheque......
There was a good chance that when you cancelled that the money had not debited your account and was still at auth stage. If it was they could simply have cancelled it.
Failing that they just refund straight back to your bank account via your card details....
Sadly we know why they don't want to do that, as they will lose out on interest on the money they hold thats not theirs.
